The award was presented during the third edition of the #BHHSummit, which brought together more than 1,000 online participants from over 50 countries.
SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital has won the award for the most innovative hospital in Spain at the Barcelona Health Hub Awards which were presented on 28 October 2021 during the #BHHSummit conference.
The BHHAwards recognise healthcare stakeholders working to accelerate the adoption of innovation in the healthcare sector, so that the most relevant breakthroughs and disruptive technologies reach and impact people's lives.
This year, the award focused on solutions or initiatives that have been improving the experience of patients and their families, and there were four nominated organisations in each category. A popular voting process was used to select the winners in the different categories, during which more than 20,000 votes were cast.
Other award categories were the best innovative start-up company, the best innovative corporation and the best innovative initiative.
