Anna López Sala

I am a specialist in Child Neuropsychology and I work in the Neurology Service of the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, in the Epilepsy Unit, and as coordinator of the School Learning Disorders Unit (UTAE) of the same hospital. My professional activity is mainly focused on the diagnosis and treatment of school learning disorders, such as dyslexia, ADHD and dyscalculia. In addition, I specialise in the neuropsychological study and design of intervention programmes for children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders or Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), as a result of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), epilepsy and other conditions.

I am deeply passionate about my work, which enables me to help children and their families overcome significant challenges. In addition to my professional role, I am a mother of two children, which gives me a closer and more sympathetic view of family realities. In my spare time, I practice sport, an activity that helps me to maintain a healthy balance between my personal and professional life. I am also actively involved in teaching activities and workshops aimed at improving the school approach to children with learning difficulties.

Scientific activity

I actively collaborate in several research projects focused on paediatric pharmaco-refractory epilepsy. In these projects, I bring my specialised expertise in child neuropsychology and neurodevelopmental disorders. In addition, I have participated in the development of guidelines on neurodevelopmental disorders and in initiatives to disseminate knowledge in this field, always seeking to improve the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to children with cognitive and developmental difficulties.
