Funny Friends is an interactive game aimed at children who suffer from a respiratory disease such as cystic fibrosis that requires respiratory physiotherapy.
The project
Patients with cystic fibrosis need to perform respiratory rehabilitation every day, with very basic inhalation and exhalation exercises. These exercises are very repetitive and boring for children, which results in low adherence to treatment. It is also a source of conflict at home between parents and children, because the child does not want to perform the exercises.
Funny Friends is an interactive game aimed at children who suffer from a respiratory disease such as cystic fibrosis that requires respiratory physiotherapy. Its main objective is to allow children to perform rehabilitation exercises at home, outside of the hospital environment, in a fun way, reducing their rejection to treatment and making it more pleasant.
In addition, Funny Friends allows the work done by children to be remotely planned, monitored and checked by physicians and physiotherapists, through the use of wireless smart respiration sensors and a web platform.
