Josep Rubio Palau

I specialize in jaw surgery, pediatric maxillofacial surgery,cleft lip and palate, and planning and 3D printing. I have headed up the Pediatric Maxillofacial Surgery Department at SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital since 2015.

I graduated in Medicine from the Universitat de Barcelona, specialized in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vall d’Hebron Hospital, and trained further in reference centers across America, Europe, and Asia. During that period I took the degree in Dentistry from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya and in 2012 made a fellow of the European Board of Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery.

Research and teaching are two cornerstones of my activity and I have received summa cum laudes for two PhD theses, developed different competitive projects, worked as a nationally accredited university lecturer and been a member of different international scientific societies and president of the Catalan-Balearic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
