Saioa Arza Cia

Since I was a child I have been in contact with the world of disability and learning difficulties, an experience that has undoubtedly marked my personal and professional career.

As a child neuropsychologist, I work in the School Learning Disorders Unit (UTAE) of the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital. I work in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders (dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, ASD, TDL...).

I understand my work as a close and respectful accompaniment, which seeks to build bridges between the child, their family and the school. I am passionate about working with children because they are spontaneous, surprising and fun. My approach is based on adapting the support to the individual needs of each child, so that they feel capable, valued and confident. My aim is to help them gain strategies and autonomy even in those areas where they have the most difficulties.
