Mireia Fernández Gómez

I began my career while on my university placement at the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, in the same department I work in today. During this placement, I worked in several areas, such as a healthcare centre, a private clinic and also in schools, treating various speech disorders and oral and written language issues, as well as voice problems.

I currently work in the Orthodontics and Dentistry Department in the Congenital Maxillofacial Malformations Unit. Our main responsibilities include providing direct care to patients, training and assessing families, holding internal interdisciplinary meetings, coordination with external services, and holding board meetings and clinical sessions.

I am focusing my professional development on continued training so I can offer excellent service, and be able to help and be there for patients and families.
