At the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, we want all children, regardless of where they come from, to have the right to good health and dignified healthcare.
In line with the values upheld by the Brothers Hospitallers of Saint John of God, there are three international cooperation projects in place at this time.
One of them aims to improve infrastructure and healthcare provision in one of the poorest countries in the world: Sierra Leone. There are two other projects that allow our Hospital to treat children who require high-complexity treatment that cannot be done in their home country, or that their family cannot afford.
Our international cooperation programmes
International cooperation programme for vulnerable children with cancer.
Collaboration with the Saint John of God Hospital to exchange knowledge, improve infrastructure, launch new projects and support native healthcare professionals.
We treat children from vulnerable economic situations who require high-complexity surgical treatment that cannot be done in their home country.
